Terms & Conditions & Warranty
1. Quotes & Orders

All quotes are valid for 7 days from the issue date.
-
Full payment is required to confirm the order and commence production, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

No order will proceed without written approval of the final design proof.
2. Design & Approval Process
-
We provide a digital 2D design for approval prior to production.
-
It is the client’s responsibility to carefully check all details, including spelling, colours, dimensions, positioning, and layout.
-
Once written approval is given, any changes will be treated as a variation, may incur additional charges, and may affect delivery timelines.
3. Production & Delivery
-
Standard production lead time is 7–10 working days from receipt of full payment and final design approval.
-
Priority or express production may be available at an additional cost.
-
Any delays caused by the client (including late approvals, unpaid balances, or inaccessible sites) may result in rescheduling and rebooking fees.
4. Installation & Site Access
-
The client must provide clear, safe, and unrestricted access to the site at the agreed installation time.
-
Missed or delayed appointments caused by client-side issues may be charged at £150 per visit (no VAT), or more depending on circumstances.

Where electrical connections are required, these must be carried out by a certified electrician appointed by the client, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Materials & Warranty (Signage, Shop Fitting & Interior Design)

We use high-quality materials including cast acrylic, IP68-rated LED modules (energy-efficient and fire-resistant), and professional-grade fixings and finishes.

All signage, shop fitting, and interior design work supplied and installed by The Signage is covered by a 12-month (1 year) warranty from the date of installation or project completion.
What the Warranty Covers

Manufacturing defects
-
Installation and workmanship faults
-
LED modules, power supplies, wiring, and fixings supplied and installed by us
-
Fixtures, fittings, and finishes installed as part of shop fitting or interior works
Where a fault is confirmed to be caused by our workmanship or supplied materials, remedial work will be carried out free of charge.
6. Call-Out & Fault Investigation (£150)

When a fault is reported, the client must provide photos and/or videos of the issue where reasonably possible before a site visit is arranged.
-
If our team attends site and determines that the issue is NOT caused by The Signage, a £150 call-out and inspection fee will apply.
This includes (but is not limited to):
-
Power being switched off or isolated
-
Electrical faults outside our installation
-
Building defects such as leaks, damp, or structural movement
-
Damage caused by customers, staff, vandals, or third parties
-
Modifications or repairs carried out by others
If the fault is confirmed to be our responsibility, no call-out fee will be charged.
7. Call-Out Payment Terms & Warranty Withdrawal
-
Call-out fees must be paid within 14 working days of the invoice date
(Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays). -
Failure to pay within this timeframe will result in the warranty for the relevant sign, shop fitting, or interior work being withdrawn and deemed void.

Once withdrawn, all future inspections, repairs, or replacements will be fully chargeable, regardless of the original warranty period.
Late payments may be subject to statutory interest and recovery costs in accordance with UK commercial payment legislation.
8. What the Warranty Does NOT Cover
Normal wear and tear
-
Misuse, accidental damage, vandalism, or neglect
-
Extreme weather or environmental damage beyond reasonable design limits
-
Electrical or plumbing work carried out by others
-
Third-party materials or equipment (covered only by manufacturer warranties)
Any unauthorised alterations or interference after installation
9. Cancellations & Refunds
All signage and bespoke products are custom-made.

If a client cancels after design approval and before production starts, a reasonable design charge may be retained.

If a client cancels after production has started:
-
Any deposit paid will be forfeited, or
-
Where payment has been made in full, we reserve the right to retain an amount covering design, materials ordered, and production already carried out, with any remaining balance refunded where applicable.
In the event of a proven manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the product at no additional cost.
10. Ownership & Usage Rights
All materials, goods, and designs remain the property of The Signage until full payment has been received.
We reserve the right to photograph and use completed work for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes, unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to installation for genuine reasons.
11. Franchise & Trade Clients
Franchisees and trade partners must comply with brand guidelines and agreed performance terms where applicable.

All signage must be ordered exclusively from The Signage, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Support, samples, and training may be provided as part of the business arrangement.
